Why are Intaglio® products so effective ? Intaglio® products are stronger concentrations of AHAs glycolic acids than other products on the market. All our ingredients are medical strength and pharmaceutical grade.

How soon will I see results ? In the beginning your skin may actually look worse before it looks better. It is important to understand that during the first two or three weeks of glycolic acid use, your skin may look drier, more wrinkled and cloudier than before. Do not be discouraged. After the outer layers of dead skin cells are shed, your skin will begin to look better. Initial results will be noticeable within three weeks. At first, the complexion will become more radiant. Skin texture will improve and your skin will look healthier. Later, fine lines will begin to decrease and deeper wrinkles will smooth.

Do I need a salon professional exfoliating peel for best results ? Professional peels are not necessary to achieve maximum results. Our home use products were developed in sufficient concentrations to achieve maximum resurfacing benefits. However, Intaglio® does produce professional salon peels which can help you achieve results more quickly. See your skin care specialist for advice.

What is a maintenance program ? After six to nine months of regular product use, you will have achieved the optimum skin resurfacing benefits. In order to maintain your skin's healthy condition, your skin care therapist will design a maintenance program for you. Depending upon your individual skin, you may use products three or four times a week or you may use one or two products daily.

Can I be allergic to AHA-Glycolic ? Less than 1% of the population is actually allergic so you should begin slowly and gradually allow your skin to become accustomed. Some people begin using too much product or too many products too quickly, and may have a slight tingling and appear a little red and irritated at first. This is normal and temporary and will disappear in a few days.
