Organically Herbal Extracts Our organic range uses nature’s purest herb, plant, flower and aromatherapy extracts. We make our plant extracts freshly on the day we make our products. All herbs are analysed for pesticide or heavy metal contamination and are either organically grown, medicinal quality or wild-crafted. Some of our products include the power of Australian bush-flower essences.

Ingredients We Avoid

It is almost as important as choosing what to put into a skin care product as what to leave out. There are also certain plant based extracts we won't use such as castor oil and some preservatives because they are potentially irritating to the skin. So Simplicité products don't contain mineral oil, lanolin, propylene glycol, silicones, alcohol, bee's wax or any animal products and are not tested on animals.

Organic Extracts …… What do we mean by “ORGANIC “. There are many companies claiming to be 'organic'. We source not just organic, but our herbs must also meet the requirement of being high-activity medicinal quality herbs. We make our own extracts using a low temperature extraction method designed to preserve the beneficial active principles. In the final product, the majority of our ingredients is made up of organic, high-activity, medicinal quality herbs.

We choose not to certify as 'organic' because no skin care product could ever truly be. To explain, we use natural vitamin E but 'organic' natural vitamin E is not available. Most aromatherapy essences are also not available as ‘organic’. The small inclusions of 'natural' preservatives also have never been available with an 'organic' certificate. We’ve made a conscious decision not to contribute to the over-use of a word that too often means very little. ‘Medicinal quality’ can only ever have one meaning.

Medicinal Quality, Retain Plant Extracts Naturally High Nutrient Levels To make herbal extracts rich in both nutrients and active principles we use low temperature extraction. Simplicité first chooses the finest quality organic medicinal or wild crafted (harvested from the wild) herbs. These medicinal quality herbs are
then sealed in a large stainless steel container with a low volume of pure water and heated to a temperature below 100 degrees centigrade for a period of several hours then allowed cooling for several more hours. The rich extract is drawn away and used freshly in the manufacture of our naturopathic skin care products.
